About Western Valley Swim Team

Our Swimmers

Based in Woodstock, New Brunswick, the Western Valley Swim Team (WVST) trains locally and competes at swim meets across the province. Our club welcomes swimmers of all ages — from beginners as young as eight to experienced high school athletes. There’s no set age requirement to join; if you can swim one length of the pool, you’re ready to dive in. At WVST, training focuses on improving strokes, drills, breathing techniques, and overall strength in the water. Alongside serious swim training, we build team spirit with games, laughter, and encouragement at every practice. To celebrate effort and dedication, we recognize athletes with Swimmer of the Month and Swimmer of the Meet awards. With a balance of skill, spirit, and fun, the Stingrays create an environment where swimmers can grow, compete, and thrive together.

Our Coaches

The Western Valley Swim Team (WVST) is supported by dedicated swim coaches — including former competitive athletes, ex-Stingrays swimmers, and committed volunteer parents. As a smaller swim club in Woodstock, New Brunswick, we’re proud to offer every swimmer plenty of personal coaching and focused attention.

Our coaches specialize in refining technique, improving swim times, mastering strokes and breathing, and building race strategies and mental toughness. They bring strong leadership and a passion for swimming, inspiring athletes of all ages to reach their potential. At practices and at competitive swim meets across New Brunswick, our coaches are right there with the team, strengthening bonds and guiding swimmers every step of the way.
